The total cost of your care is £ 4500.

This includes all your midwifery care antenatally, during labour and postnatally for up to 4 weeks after the birth. You will get to know two midwives and usually two midwives will be with you during the birth.

It excludes investigations like blood tests, ultra sound scans, consultations with a private Obstetrician or stay in a private maternity hospital. If you are eligible to NHS care your GP can arrange scans and blood tests for you. Or you can opt to have these performed at an independent fetal medicine centre or a private laboratory. We will happily arrange this for you.

If a transfer to a NHS hospital becomes necessary or is desired by you, any hospital treatment you receive is covered by the NHS. Our usual role in this context is one of advocacy and support for you and your partner.

Please note that at the moment there is no professional indemnity insurance available to independent midwives. In hospital you will be covered by the NHS indemnity fund for any issues arising during the time spent on their premises.

If you are interested in our services you can arrange a consultation appointment with us. This professional consultation lasts around one hour and gives you an opportunity to raise any questions you have regarding your pregnancy and plans for the birth. In addition it gives you and the midwife an opportunity to explore mutual suitability which we believe lies at the heart of a successful working relationship. This home consultation will incur a £100 non refundable fee. We will deduct this from the total cost of your care if we agree to work together.

To secure our availability once you have decided to book our services a £1000 non-returnable booking fee will be required before or at your booking appointment. This will be deducted from the total cost of your care.

The full payment will be required by 35 weeks. If you book late in your pregnancy the full payment will be required at your booking appointment.
